Sudden Death is a novelization by the American writer Stephen Mertz based upon the screenplay by Gene Quintano of the 1995 action film Sudden Death starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.[1]

A band of terrorists wire Pittsburgh's Mellon Arena with explosives during the decisive 7th game of the Stanley Cup Finals and take hostage everyone, including the Vice President of the United States. Arson investigator Darren McCord, a retired Pittsburgh firefighter and his daughter are in the arena, and if the ransom money isn’t delivered soon, thousands will die.[2]

The audio book is read by Powers Boothe.
